try Casa Roca, open only for lunch. San Martin 579, downtown. and Tancat but the one on Paraguay, downtown.

Sorry to disagree, but in my experience, Cumana was really bad. We were four and only one of us was not unhappy (but not happy either) with his order (can’t remember what it was). My husband ordered a main course salad that was insipid, my daughter ordered a sweet potato filled with corn ( humita filling?) that was horrible, and I ordered a vegetarian sandwich that was VERY disappointing. I wonder why even people queue to get in there. Maybe because it is not pricey.

Love your site! We are 2 families spending 5 days in BA over New Year’s – kids between 13-20 yrs old. What would you suggest as fun/happening restaurants that are good with big groups (11 of us!) Thanks! Also, any advice for New Year’s eve?

  5. Hello!

Fab site, we use it like a bible in BA at the moment. Do you know if restaurants (Villa Crespo area in particular) will be open on 24 and 25 December?

Great list! Daore is closed now unfortunately :( I went the other day, and the couple that opened a cafe in their spot pointed me in the direction of another Korean place around the corner. So they saved the day!
