Pick Up The Fork

A Serious Eater's Guide to Buenos Aires and Beyond

Delivery & Takeaway Guide

Support local businesses! But for real. Restaurants need us more than ever in order to survive this pandemic. This is an on-going list of restaurants, cafés, bars, markets, butcher shops, vegetable shops, etc offering takeaway and delivery services during the quarantine. Here’s the google doc link if you want to save it. If you see a spot you love on here and you want to see it open by the time this is all over, now is the time to order!

*Important Notes:

  • These are not necessarily recommendations. I haven’t tried all these places, so it’s up to you to make a decision where you want to order.
  • If you have a favorite spot that is open now and you want to see it survive when we reach the other side of this, ORDER FROM THEM! That’s the only way they will survive this.
  • If restaurants offer their own delivery service, contact directly via Whatsapp and opt for that — services like Rappi, Glovo, Pedidos Ya, UberEats take out big commissions which come out of the pocket of restaurants.
  • Give our delivery people/restaurant workers EXTRA FAT BALLER TIPS! (If you have the funds). They are on the front lines risking their lives so we can eat, so tips are much needed.
  • Support free community-based websites and apps like Mi Barrio Chat.
  • Wash your hands and be kind.
