Pick Up the Fork is a labor of love. I’ve never monetized the content, worked with sponsors, accepted money from restaurants, or set up a paywall. It’s 100% independent and self-funded, and I’ve chosen to go in that direction since PUTF’s birth in 2009. But things change and 2020 has proven to be a tough time for media and the food and travel writing industry.
