‘Tis the Season… for produce

Posted on August 28, 2010 3 Comments

For some, the beginning of spring means lush green leaves, buds sprouting, flowers in bloom, sunny blue skies, warm weather, yadda yadda yadda.  For me, like any fat kid at heart, it has something related to food – fruit and vegetable season! Even though there is technically one more month of winter left, good quality, […]

You say catsup, I say ketchup, they say “catchup.” This ice cream brand sounds like something my grandmother would lovingly say to me in Yiddish. Yo barfeo. Tú barfeas. Él/Ella barfea. Ellos/as barfean. Nosotros barfeamos.

Florencio Bistró & Patisserie

Florencio Bistró & Patisserie

On a small cobblestone street behind the British Embassy in Recoleta you can find the cutest little café bistro you ever did see. Florencio (Francisco de Vittoria 2363) fits only about 10-15 people with 5 small tables inside and one small table outside on the sidewalk. The menu includes items like sandwiches, tartas, baked goods, […]
